John Thew's 
Dory and Fisherman

This is John's "Dory" which is  29 inches long, has an 8 inch beam, and a maximum width of 22 inches measured between the ends of the oar tips. The oars are made of solid brass. Each dory weathervane is signed, dated and numbered on the transom.  The copper and the brass have not been treated and both will age into a rich patina over time.

 

John, at age 91, has decided to stop making his weather vanes and we here at Made in Connecticut are keeping what we have.
